Why you don’t have to spend, spend, spend to afford a luxury kitchen
‘Luxury’ is a very hypnotic and enticing word, one of those words that makes people go weak at the knees and lose all grasp of rational thought. A strange mist envelops them to the point where they are almost volunteering to spend vast amounts of cash. Luxury kitchens are a classic case in point.
The ‘wow’ factor of beautifully fitted and immaculately crafted luxury kitchens floods the mind with images of wealth and the high life. For some consumers, it is almost an honour to be charged a ridiculous amount of money for their dream layout and an insult if their bank balance hasn’t been wrecked by the end of the transaction. As Michael Winner used to say, “Calm down, dear!”
Overcharging people for a lifestyle they yearn for is one of the cleverest of marketing ploys. There are always takers. Many people love nothing more than to talk about how much they spent on their favourite things. They soon quieten down when the first cracks appear in their perfect painting and it begins to disintegrate.
Don’t be seduced into spending money you don’t have. One of the favourite mantras of the marketing gurus is to tell us that people will spend big money for the absolute assurance of performance and truly quality service.
Absolute assurance? I don’t think so. There is no such thing. Some prices simply cannot be justified. Nowadays even the prices of upmarket kitchen appliances are beginning to resemble telephone numbers. Glancing at an American website the other day, I saw a stove that cost $47,000, a kitchen sink going for $8,000 and warming drawers and food blenders costing $2,000. Why? Because there are always people who will buy them. Be my guest and join the club, but cross your fingers that all that quality doesn’t suddenly blow a fuse and send you rushing down to Wilko for a quick replacement.
Do yourself a big favour and get your head out of the clouds before it’s too late! Luxury kitchens do not have to be outrageously expensive. I have been banging the drum on this subject for longer than I care to remember.
As part of my FREE service, I’ll recommend local showrooms who’ll offer you a luxury kitchen for little more than what you’d pay for a budget kitchen. I promise you that you won’t be disappointed with the result. Nor will you feel as if you are walking through a minefield
We’ll compare the prices and quality of all luxury kitchens on the market and put you in touch with the best value local showrooms. All you have to do is tell me the style you like and, if possible, your approximate budget. I will then compare the prices and quality of hundreds of suppliers and tell you who offers the best value possible.
I’ll recommend upmarket local showrooms who don’t charge upmarket prices. Furthermore I only recommend reputable kitchen showrooms within 30 minutes’ drive of your home.
I’ll even find you a German kitchen for less than a Wickes, Magnet or Wren kitchen.
There is no obligation to buy and once again the service is FREE. Still sure that you want to set fire to your credit cards?
