How to get a designer kitchen for less than the price of a budget kitchen
We’d all love to have a designer kitchen — one of those gleaming German models that has so much more style and panache than the average kitchen. But you pay for what you get, so surely it would be far too expensive for the average budget. Or maybe not.
Use an independent kitchen showroom to get a designer kitchen
The secret is to shop around the local independent kitchen showrooms. Some showrooms will offer you a German designer kitchen for similar to what you’ll pay for a budget kitchen from one of the high street chains or from a builder.
You only have to look at the elegance of these designer kitchens below. You’d think they’d be out of most people’s range, but the units were supplied by local independent kitchen showrooms for prices ranging from a mere £4,450 to no more than £6,250.
More savings
That gets you the units for a German designer kitchen for the price of a budget kitchen, but how can it actually be cheaper?
Well, the units are only part of the cost of a kitchen. Worktops and appliances can also be expensive from the high street chains. In contrast, a good independent kitchen showroom will be able to supply the same standard, if not superior, for a lower cost.
It’s the fitting, though, where you really save money. The big chains typically charge around £4,000 to fit your kitchen. In contrast, Independent showrooms usually charge about £1,500. So, for a similar price to what builders charge, you get your kitchen expertly fitted by specialist kitchen fitters.
The perfect solution
You don’t have to take it from me, though. Nick Karamanlis was delighted with the kitchen he bought from the Independent kitchen showroom we found for him, and confirmed that,
“When you took the cost of fitting into account, the German kitchen worked out £2,000 less than Wren!” Nick Karamanlis, Woodford Green, Essex
Joanna Edwards, another client we recommended to a local kitchen showroom was also delighted with what she found,
“We got a German handleless kitchen with quartz worktops and Neff appliances for about 2k less than Wickes were asking for a sh*tty handled kitchen with rubbish laminates worktops and electrolux appliances!” Joanna Edwards, Carpenders Park, Watford, Herts
Of course, not all Independent kitchen showrooms are this good value. So, how do you identify which are the good value ones? Well, that’s where I come in.
