How do Doimo Kitchens compare with other kitchen brands?
If you’re looking for a new kitchen, one of the brands that might catch your eye is Doimo Kitchens. This is a medium-sized Italian kitchen brand, and you might think it’s easy to compare it with other kitchen brands. However, it can get quite confusing to work out which among the many brands offers best value.
We’re going to look at how Doimo Kitchens compare in price and quality with their various competitors.
How do Doimo Kitchens compare with the high-street chains and trade-only suppliers?
Most people start their search for a new kitchen at one of the big high-street chains. Chains such as Wren, Wickes and Magnet are familiar names, and there’s likely to be a branch near you. Alternatively, you might go through a builder, who can access one of the trade-only suppliers. Examples of these are Howdens, Benchmarx and Magnet Trade.
In terms of price, Doimo Kitchens usually start at a little bit more than these places. When it comes to quality, however, there’s no comparison. Doimo Kitchens are much higher-quality than the kitchens the chains and trade-only suppliers sell. Whereas those might last about five years, if you’re lucky, a Doimo Kitchen should last for at least 15-20 years.
The reason a Doimo kitchen will last much longer than a kitchen from the high-street chains or trade-only suppliers is because of the higher-quality materials and components Doimo construct their kitchens from. So, for example, the chains build their units from cheap, low-quality chipboard. The problem with cheap, low-quality chipboard is it bows under the weight of the worktops. Doimo, on the other hand, use much higher-quality chipboard that will never bow.
In the same way, the hinges and mechanisms Doimo use are a lot higher quality than what the chains and trade-only suppliers use.
Finally, the doors Doimo use are higher quality too. So, they’ll never peel like the ones you’ll get from the high-street chains or trade only suppliers do.
How do Doimo Kitchens compare with other brands sold by independent kitchen showrooms?
The suppliers who sell Doimo Kitchens are mostly small independent kitchen showrooms, as opposed to the big chains. However, they sell many other brands too, which have a wide variety of strengths and weaknesses.
This can make it very difficult to identify the best value brands to look at. So, while some of these other brands brands cost around the same as Doimo, others are either cheaper or more expensive than Doimo.
In the same way, the quality of these brands varies considerably. Some brands aren’t as good as Doimo Kitchens, some are around the same, while some are even better. Price and quality don’t always go together, though, so finding the best value kitchens can be very difficult.
