How do Burger Kitchens compare to other kitchen brands?
If you are looking for a good-quality kitchen, your first thought may well be to buy a German kitchen. One of the brands you might come across is Burger Kitchens.
Burger are one of many German kitchen brands on the market. So, how do they compare in price and quality to the others and are there better value brands available?
How do Burger Kitchens compare in quality to other German kitchen brands?
The important thing to remember about German kitchens is that most of them are higher-quality than the kitchens you’ll find in places like Howdens, Wren, Magnet and Wickes. However, this doesn’t mean that all German kitchens are the same quality as they’re not. German kitchens differ in quality.
An example of the quality difference between brands are the cross beams. These are also sometimes called cross bars. These give the unit it’s strength and durability. Lower-quality German brands come with cheap, chipboard cross beams. The problem with these is they can split. In contrast, Burger Kitchens come with tough, durable wooden cross beams that will never split.
Below are what cross beams look like.

Another example are the shelves. Lower-quality German brands have 16mm thick shelves. In contrast, Burger kitchens have 19mm thick shelves for enhanced support.
An area Burger Kitchens falls down on though are their backs. Burger kitchens come with 3 or 4mm thick hard board backs. In contrast, higher-quality German brands come with 8mm thick solid backs for enhanced strength and durability.
Another area they fall down on is the number of interior cabinet colours they offer. Burger only offer 4 interior cabinet colours. This means that it’s unlikely that you’ll be able to have the same colour on the inside of the cabinet that you have on the outside. In contrast, some German brands offer a choice of up to 30 interior cabinet colours. Having a larger choice of interior cabinet colours means there’s a high chance you’ll be able to have the same colour on the inside of your kitchen that you have on the outside. Matching the inside colour of your kitchen with the outside gives a more coordinated, seamless look.
How do Burger Kitchens compare in price to other German kitchen brands?
German kitchen brands also differ in price. Therefore, some brands cost less than Burger, some similar and some more.
Are there better-value German brands than Burger Kitchens?
Yes, there are a few brands that cost similar to Burger, but are higher-quality. So, while Burger Kitchens have 3 or 4mm thick hardboard backs, these brands have 8mm thick solid back for enhanced strength and durability. Also, while Burger offer a choice of only 4 interior cabinet colours, these brands offer a choice of up to 30 interior colours. Having a larger choice of interior cabinet colours means there’s a high chance you’ll be able to have the same colour on the inside of your kitchen that you have on the outside.
