Should you buy a real metal kitchen?
There are certain surfaces that are pretty much guaranteed to give your kitchen the wow factor. One of those is a metallic surface, and among the various ways of achieving that is a real metal kitchen.
The question is whether that really is the best way of creating a metallic look. So, should you buy a real metal kitchen?
What is a real metal kitchen?
There are several ways of getting that metallic finish on your kitchen doors. A real metal kitchen, as its name suggests, is the genuine article.
In a real metal kitchen, the doors consist of a sheet of metal, such as stainless steel or brass, wrapped around an MDF substrate.
Reasons to buy one
The most obvious reason to buy one is, quite simply, that wow factor. Any metallic look can look great, but a metal kitchen looks absolutely stunning. Besides giving you pleasure every time you’re in it, your visitors will be knocked out by it.
The other big advantage of a real metal kitchen is its durability. The last thing you want is that wonderful kitchen looking knocked about in a few years and needing to be replaced. Out of the types of metallic doors, this type is by far the most durable and long lasting.
Reasons not to buy one
Although a real metal kitchen looks great and lasts well, it does have a few disadvantages. The most significant of those is cost — it’s an extremely expensive option. You can get other types of metallic kitchen (e.g. metallic lacquer, metallic Fenix, metallic laminate) that all cost a lot less than metal.
The other big disadvantage of this type of kitchen is its lack of availability. Very few brands offer them, so if you have your heart set on one, you could be in for a long search.
