Should you buy a powder coated lacquered kitchen?
If you’re looking for a new kitchen, you might want to go for something that is going to look special. There are various types of kitchen your friends probably won’t have, including a powder coated lacquered kitchen. It will certainly be a talking point, but is it really a good option?
Reasons to buy a powder coated lacquered kitchen:
Durability
One of the drawbacks of a lacquered kitchen is that it’s delicate. Therefore, it’s easy to chip. A powder coated lacquered kitchen, on the other hand, is far more durable and more resistant to chips.
Fingerprint proof
In a similar way, a lacquered kitchen has a tendency to show up fingerprints very easily. This is especially true if they’re in a dark colour — especially black. This type of lacquered kitchen, on the other hand, is highly resistant to fingerprints. Even if you go for a black kitchen, finger-marks are unlikely to be a problem — including children’s sticky fingers.
Flawless finish
One of the big selling points of any lacquered kitchen is its flawless finish, which both looks and feels great. This is certainly true of this type of kitchen too. You’ll get the characteristic flawless finish, along with all the extra advantages mentioned here.
Environmentally friendly
We’re all aware now of the importance of limiting our impact on the environment. Sometimes, it’s necessary to balance quality and environmental friendliness — but not with a powder coated lacquered kitchen. Because the finish contains very few VOCs (volatile organic compounds), it’s more environmentally friendly than most other options.
Reasons not to buy one:
Cost
It’s an inevitable reality that higher-quality options are likely to mean a higher price, and this is certainly true here. A powder coated lacquered kitchen will usually cost more than a lacquered kitchen.
Availability
In a similar way, most higher-quality kitchens will be harder to find than a more standard model. Compared to lacquered kitchens, powder coated lacquered kitchens are few and far between. Only a few brands offer them, and you’re likely to have a long search if that’s what you’ve set your heart on.
